Erika S. Krystian
Erika S. Krystian graduated Phi Beta Kappa and with Honors from the University of California at Los Angeles in 2003, with a B.A. in English and a minor in French. She received her J.D. in 2010 from Columbia Law School, where she was a member of the Columbia Journal of Gender and Law and the Mediation Clinic, Music Director for the Columbia Law Revue, and a recipient of the Parker School Certificate in Foreign and Comparative Law, conferred on J.D. and LL.M. graduates demonstrating a specialization and excellence in foreign and comparative law. She was awarded a Social Justice Pathways Fellowship by Columbia Law School after graduation, and spent six months with the New York State Office of Children & Family Services, focusing on civil rights issues affecting youth in foster care and the juvenile justice system. Prior to law school, she taught English in Mont-de-Marsan, France and is fluent in French.
